Citroen’s Business Centre network is winning customers in tough financial times by helping small and medium size companies (SMEs). Last year, record numbers of SMEs turned to Citroen for their vehicle needs through its nationwide Business Centre network. This 90-strong specialist network saw a 40% increase in B2B sales during 2011.
In the past 12 months, Citroen Business Centres have increased their car sales to the SME sector by an impressive 71.4%. The Citroen Business Centres network also increased its light commercial vehicle (LCV) sales to the SME sector by an impressive 23.3%, significantly out performing the total LCV market trend.
Martin Hamill, Citroen’s Head of Commercial Vehicles and Business Sector, commented: “Owners of smaller businesses already have enough concerns without having to spend vast amounts of time focusing on and deciphering their business transport requirements. Yet the vehicles they operate often play a crucial part in their commercial success and require careful selection.
“The specially trained staff in Citroen’s Business Centres understand the demanding nature of SME’s transport requirements. They can advise SMEs on the most suitable vehicles and specifications for their businesses. They know about any relevant local or national regulations and restrictions, and give insights to the accounting benefits of the various funding and maintenance packages available.”
Citroen’s commitment to the business community is demonstrated by its range of Relay Specialist versions, which are available to view at Citroen Business Centres. The range includes tippers, dropsides and Luton vans. The multi award-winning Citroen Ready to Run programme, for bespoke LCV conversions, expands this range to include even more specialist vehicles, such as waste collection vehicles, temperature-controlled vans, glass carriers and low-loading high cube vans. In 2011, Citroen’s Business Centres delivered a major increase of nearly 35% in sales of converted vehicles.
“Citroen's wide range of cars and LCVs are perfectly placed to meet the transport needs of many SME companies. This choice, when combined with the Business Centre’s expertise, provides SMEs with a very convenient one-stop-shop solution. And as Citroen offers some of the most fuel-efficient and lowest operating cost vehicles available, the savings our SME customers make continue long after they leave our Business Centres,” concludes Martin Hamill.
